Job Openings:

Production Roaster (part-time 18-21 hours a week)

Duties:

Roasting coffee according to profiles to ensure consistency

Using Cropster Roasting Intelligence software for roasting and inventory tracking

Weighing batches of green coffee

Keeping in communication with the production team and head roaster to maintain efficient flow of operations

Cleaning roaster daily and performing monthly maintenance

Following all food safety and standard operating procedure protocols to maintain a safe, clean, sanitary production environment

Improving understanding of the theory and best practices of coffee roasting

Other duties may included bagging, sealing, and grinding coffee.

Qualifications

Willingness and enthusiasm to learn the art and science of coffee roasting 

Attention to detail: ability to follow directions, keep accurate records, and maintain consistency

Team player

Good communication skills

Ability to work well under pressure and keep calm

Ability to multitask and maintain focus

Specialty coffee experience preferred–love of coffee required! (Tasting coffee is an important part of the job)

Roasting experience preferred 

Physical requirements: standing, walking, lifting 25lbs over head, lifting coffee bins up to 40lbs, Team lifting green coffee bags up to 154lbs

Hours

Part-time 

M-W (7 hour shifts)

Early morning to afternoon

Compensation

$18.50/hour

12oz bag of coffee weekly
